2024 SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

We are on the search to expand our production team and welcome a new group of interns! Our internship program is open to individuals who are 18+, and specifically interested in event production.

 

Interns will  work in exchange for full access to Toffan Rhythm Projects Summer Programming (TRI intensive classes & show, TITDF public events - all shows, workshops, panel discussions, jams), as well as the potential for an additional honourarium. 

**Please note: successful applicants may audit the New Generation Residency Program as part of the internship,

however, if participating as a selected dancer, tuition will not be included in the internship work exchange.**

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

Friday December 29, 2023

 

The internship begins on Monday January 15, applicants will be notified by January 2, 2024.

Successful applicants may be asked to assist with:

 

  • social media

  • video editing

  • promotions

  • design

  • driving (transporting visiting artists, running errands, etc)

  • brainstorming

  • problem solving

  • research

  • compiling lists & creating spreadsheets

  • email correspondence & phone calls

  • seeking event support, potential sponsorship opportunities, building subscriber list and audience base

  • event merchandise sales

  • onsite event registration

  • assisting guest artists 

  • assisting production team

  • other miscellaneous tasks both onsite and administratively in preparation for summer programming

GENERAL POINTS:

  • reference letters from family/relatives will not be accepted

  • applicant minimum age is 18/have birthdates in 2006 (turning 18 in 2024 is acceptable)

  • applicants are not required to have a driver's license, but it's an asset to your application, so please indicate your driving status

  • must be adaptable, coachable, and co-operative

  • must possess excellent communication skills and work ethic

 

The internship program begins January 15 with flexible/part time hours, and will intensify in May.

 

Please note: we can be flexible with existing work schedules and commitments with appropriate notice.

 

All interns must be available full time from August 12-18, 2024.
